Mucho Macho Bests Captivating Cat by a Nose in Aqueduct Thriller

Sunday, November 16, 2008

New York - Mucho Macho notched his second win Saturday, November 15th, in a 6 furlong allowance run over a muddy track at Aqueduct, bringing his earnings for the year to $99,500 in seven starts.  Off the board only once, the grey Macho Uno gelding stalked favored Captivating Cat (Storm Cat) until turning for home, when he drew alongside him and under strong urging from Rich Migliore, fought the full final furlong to prevail by a nose.  Mucho Macho was given a 90 Beyer and a 6 RAG, both of which were small positive moves towards his previous top, registered in his first start.

Mucho Macho is out of the stakes winning mare Traki Traki, and is a ½ to a number of Stakes Winners and is a ½ brother of Multiple Graded Stakes Winner Bushfire, who won a number of stakes at a mile and over, including the G-1 Ashland, the G-1 Acorn and the G-1 Mother Goose.
